Tourney a Huge Success!

Judging by feedback from both employees and vendors, our tournament was a huge success!  There were many great prizes awarded: likely in the thousands of dollars in combined value.  Everyone had a great time, and the weather was absolutely perfect!

We are having requests to repeat in the spring.  That decision hasn’t been made yet, but it seems like a good idea!  And we’ll have more than 3 weeks to concentrate on it.  We should be able to put on another successful show.  Time will tell. A big huge Thank You goes out to all of our vendors, for participating and donating so many wonderful gifts and prizes; and to our voluteers, who helped make the whole thing run like a well-oiled machine!

The tournament is just a few days away, and the final details are being hammered out.

Remember to be at Galloway by 7:30am!

You will need to register, collect your packages, rules, etc, and be on your tee by 7:55, ready for the shotgun tee off.  If you want to purchase a mulligan, you may.  The cost will be $5 and each player may only purchase one.

During your round, you will note on the scorecard that there is a row for “Drive Used” and one for “Mulligan Used.”  For each hole, mark whose drive was used (using their initials) and whose mulligan was used, if one was used.

When you finish your round, turn in your scores and make your way to the practice putting green if you want to participate in the putting contest (I recommend you do!)  There will be a full lunch served and raffle contests to give away prizes.

GallowayThe official date of the tournament is Sunday, October 9th.  It will be held at the Links at Galloway (located on Walnut Grove Road,) and the shotgun start will be at 8 A.M.  We are currently hovering around 30 people, with several more in the pipeline.  We have several volunteers as well.

It’s shaping up to be a wonderful tournament!  If you are a vendor, consider getting your company to donate some prizes.  The price is $50 per person, and that includes golf, cart, snacks, beverages, full lunch.

Golf Tourney 2011 Planning Under Way!

We are in full swing planning the golf tournament.  We have a minimum of 20 people already signed up, with more hopefully coming in soon.  We are aiming for 36 people (enough for 9 foursomes.)

The tourney will be on a Sunday, and will likely be either October 16th or 23rd.  We are still working out details with a couple courses.  There will likely be a shotgun start in the morning at whichever course we play at.  We will have lunch and beverages.

We will also have a longest drive hole and a closest to the pin hole (maybe more than one.)  We might have a hole-in-one or a putting contest for a large prize (examples include an 8 day trip to Oahu, HI, $10,000.00 cash, and more.)  The jury is still out on that one.
